The problem

The brief

Jack Hughes runs Hughes Electrical and Air Conditioning out of Echuca, covering everything from a single power point to a full commercial fitout. The problem with that range is that it makes you hard to find. Someone chasing an emergency sparky at 11pm and someone pricing a solar install are two completely different searches, and one general services page cannot rank for both.

On top of that, the business works both sides of the Murray. Being licensed in Victoria and New South Wales is worth nothing if the website only ever mentions Echuca, because a customer in Moama reads that as somewhere else.

Couldn’t recommend Lachlan enough. He was so easy to work with throughout the whole process and somehow managed to turn all of our ideas into something even better than we imagined. The whole experience was smooth, professional and nothing ever felt too hard. Stoked with how the website turned out.

The build

What we built

A page for every kind of job

Six dedicated service pages rather than one catch-all: residential, commercial, industrial, air conditioning, solar and 24/7 emergency. Each one is built around how people actually search for that specific work, so the emergency page and the solar page compete independently.

Both sides of the river, deliberately

The site names Echuca and Moama together and lists the full run of towns out to Kyabram, Rochester, Cohuna and Deniliquin. Twelve locations spelled out, so nobody in the catchment has to guess whether Hughes will come to them.

A quote form that pre-qualifies

The enquiry form asks which service and which town before it asks for detail. Jack knows what the job is and where it is before he picks up the phone, instead of trading three messages to find out.

Emergency work made one tap away

The phone number sits in the header on every page and repeats through the site. Fault work is won on being reachable, not on being persuasive, so calling is never more than one tap from wherever the visitor lands.

Proof where it counts

The five-star Google rating and real customer reviews sit on the homepage, alongside licence and insurance details, the VEU registration and the brands they install. Every reason to hesitate, answered on the page.

A dedicated page for the rebate

Hughes is an accredited Victorian Energy Upgrades provider, so the rebate got a page of its own rather than a line in a FAQ. It sets out what qualifies, how the discount comes straight off the invoice, and that it does not apply across the border in New South Wales. Rebate-driven demand gets captured instead of missed.

The results

Where they rank now

Emergency electrician Echuca#1
Victorian Energy Upgrades Echuca#1
Industrial electrician Echuca#2

Still climbing on the broader terms, with new five-star reviews landing month on month to push the map pack further.

Positions recorded August 2026 and accurate at the time of writing. Search results move constantly and vary by device, location and search history. Results differ between businesses and industries.
